Brigitte Powell - REALTOR®
My real estate expertise is especially evident with new home buyers, empty nesters, seniors, Short Sales, transferees (NGIC and Corporate transfers) including homes and estates tied up in the Virginia Medicaid system.
A no nonsense thoughtful demeanor and 15+ years of real estate experience are two reasons why I have converted clients into friends and repeat business.
I was born and raised in Germany, and then immigrated to the United States. Moved to Groton, Connecticut where I became a naturalized citizen after high school.
After marriage and while in the Foreign Service my husband and I were assigned to a two year tour with the embassy in Damascus, Syria. After that we were re-assigned to a variety of different countries which included such places as Surabaya, Indonesia and Rome, Italy, giving me the opportunity to interact with many different nationalities and customs.
I became a real estate agent in 1997 and loved everything about Real Estate, but wanted to further my education. I returned to school at PVCC and in 2002 received my BA in Healthcare Administration from Mary Baldwin University in Staunton, Virginia, with a minor in Nursing Home Administration. After passing the Federal and State Nursing Home Administrators Exams, I worked for 5 years as a Nursing Home Administrator and Interim Administrator dedicated to the compliance aspect of this profession.
In 2006, I decided to revisit my love for the real estate industry and once again became a licensed REALTOR.®
Making YOU my NUMBER ONE priority.
