Prospecting for new clients is the single most crucial element as you build your real estate business and presents the biggest challenge for most real estate agents.

Prospecting can be done in a number of ways:

· Contacting your sphere of influence (family, friends, colleagues, old school mates)

· Open houses

· Canvassing

· Online marketing

· Handing out business cards


Some other activities you can expect to do on a daily basis include:

· Tour new listings

· Preview homes and show homes to prospective buyers

· Spend “floor time” at the office

· Attend sales and training sessions

· Attend closings with your clients

· Maintain relationships with your growing sphere of influence (clients)

· Prepare and present listing proposals and marketing plans
